Volterra supported Regal London in two student development applications in Camden. Our analysis focused on the economic value students would bring to the local area and how the student bedspaces would meet a growing demand for PBSA, given a lack of pipeline delivery. It highlighted specific local venues that are likely to experience substantial benefits resulting from the new students. Students also bring significant community benefits, beyond their local spending. Evidence suggests that 6% of students in PBSA typically volunteer for local charities or foodbanks. This suggests that up to 30 students at the developments may take part in local volunteering opportunities. 100 Chalk Farm has received permission and Jamestown Road is yet to be determined.
