Karishma is experienced in socio-economic analyses, with a special focus on social infrastructure impact, community needs and economic benefits assessment.

Karishma takes keen interest in research and data-driven analysis, especially when applied to socially motivated projects. On our ongoing project National Evaluation of Free Bikes Schemes, she analysed extensive public data to understand the socio-economic context of the scheme's treatment areas. On the same project, she modelled and mapped individual-level GPS data to demonstrate cycling behaviours. She recently lent support to RIBA to develop a financial model for social housing delivery aimed at alleviating the UK housing crisis.

Karishma has worked on multiple residential schemes, both standard housing and alternative housing like student accommodations. She led Volterra's economic analyses on various planning deliverables for 36-46 Albert Embankment, a purpose-built student accommodation by Urbanest in Vauxhall. For another project, she assessed social infrastructure provision in the villages of West Oxfordshire. Her analysis included housing, healthcare provision, education and community infrastructure. Following this, she made tailored recommendations to help each village thrive in a sustainable network.

Other major projects that Karishma has contributed to are Euston Tower, 1 Victoria Street and 85 Gracechurch Street. She is also assisting Volterra in strengthening its internal technical expertise through innovative AI-driven approaches.
