Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Emma recently relocated to London in 2024. In New Zealand, Emma developed a broad portfolio of financial and economic experience across sectors including infrastructure, renewable energy, healthcare, local government, and education.

She has a passion for delivering socio-economic analysis and building business cases that provide strong, evidence-based arguments for investments that benefit communities. Emma has led the development of numerous business cases for large-scale projects, including a new Energy Centre for a hospital, facilities and infrastructure for a university film school, and investments in air ambulance services for the Ministry of Health.

Since joining Volterra, Emma has contributed to a wide range of UK-based projects. She has recently worked on public realm business cases such as the Outline Business Case for the Parliament Square Streetscape Project and early-stage business case work for the future of Regent Street, Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus public realm. She has also undertaken economic assessments for developments spanning data centres, residential schemes, shared-living accommodation, hotels, purpose-built student accommodation, offices, and industrial space.
