Sophie Beevers

Sophie is a Senior Consultant at Volterra, and has experience with a variety of transport and development projects.

Recent work has included several socio-economic assessments, including the conversion of the US embassy at Grosvenor Square into a luxury hotel and a major mixed use development in Wandsworth. She was also Volterra’s primary consultant on the Oxford Street District vision, informing on the economics of the area to understand its existing conditions and future potential. Sophie has also performed research for several business improvement districts in central London including: the Heart of London Business Alliance, New West End Company, South Bank, Camden Town Unlimited and Euston Town.

Her transport experience includes: an independent review of methodologies used to quantify WEBs, a study on dynamic wider economic benefits and value capture for the New Zealand transport authority and an appraisal of different options to integrate Stoke-on-Trent into the HS2 route.

Sophie has specific expertise in public realm assessment and the valuation of public realm improvements. Recent projects include the valuation of public realm improvements on Bond Street, an ex-post evaluation of the transformation of the Leicester Square area and a review of existing public realm along the South Bank.

Sophie holds a BSc Degree in Economics from the University of York.
